An Inclusive Society
An inclusive society where the rights of Indigenous women, girls and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are recognized, respected and protected.
Endorois Indigenous Women Empowerment Network (EIWEN) is an Indigenous women-led Community Based Organization founded in 2016 and registered in 2019 by affected groups in Kenya.
We are deeply committed to promoting self-determination, amplifying the voices of marginalized women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), young girls, Endorois youth and other marginalized and Indigenous communities in Kenya.
As a social movement for the stewardship and custodianship of the Endorois community, EIWEN plays a vital role in preserving language, culture, the environment, health and the overall well-being of the community through training, outreach, research, documentation and advocacy.
EIWEN also works as an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD), bringing expertise in intersectionality, minority rights and Indigenous Peoples' rights.
